Reviews =)

Okay, so I know I've been slacking in the reviews category for my blog. So I thought while I have some time I should update by review list. I guess I've been putting it off because so many of the products on my review list I didn't like! However, I've got a couple products that I LOVE so I'll leave those until the end so I can leave on a good note.

First I guess I should do a quick update. Summer classes are half way over!! YEAH!! I really like my education one because I feel like it is actually helpful, but my English one is kind of boring, but I have to take it so oh well. This Thursday is pay day so be on the look out for another haul sometime after that, too! Hopefully after I get out of school I can do more on my collection series. I like doing that, since it allows for me to give feedback on things I own.

But...now on to the reviews...

1. MAC Zoom Lash Mascara-So, I think I've written about this one before, but I wanted to try it a few more times before giving a full review. Well, I have tried it a couple more times with the same result--IT STINKS!! (and no, not literally, haha) This mascara does not lengthen nor does it give volume. I'm so glad I didn't buy this mascara or I would have been extremely upset.

From maccosmetics.com "This instant volume mascara power-lifts the lashes into length, curls them up...builds them faster than you can wink! Precision control wand glides smoothly down lashes to provide a gorgeously silky upward “sweep”. Smudgeproof and long-wearing!"

Yeah right! Once again, I would not waste my money! If you want expensive, get MUFE Smokey Lash, or if you want cheaper, try Rimmel brand (the pink one) or Max Factor 2000 Calorie. (Picture from www.maccosmetics.com)

2. Best Bath Store Products-So I know I have totally talked this place up, but honestly after using the acne line for a few weeks, it stopped working on my skin and I had to go back to my old routine. I do still use the Acne soap though, because I do think it works well. Actually, I'm not sure if it's the soap or if it's because I wash my face twice now-once to get makeup off {I use Neutrogena}, the other to cleanse my skin {I use the Best Bath Store Acne Bar}. As far as the acne gel and pore refining toner, you can try it for free and see if it works for you, but I wouldn't pay for a full bottle until you try it out.

Acne Facial Bar-From Best Bath Store's Website-Best Bath Store Acne Facial Bar is free of harmful chemicals. The combination of natural ingredients such as Australian Olive Green Clay, Manuka Honey and oil, Vitamin E, and Seaweed help restore and revitalize your skin to its natural balance.

Acne Treatment Gel-From BBS site-Best Bath Store's Acne Treatment Gel is highly effective for sensitive, dry, oily, and acne prone skin types. This reparative gel contains effective ingredients such as manuka honey, aloe vera, organic extracts, and natural essential oils. Its light texture will gently restore your skin's appearance for fast, flawless results.

Pore Refining Toner-From BBS site-Infuse your skin with nourishing natural extracts that tighten and firm. Best Bath Store??™s Pore Refining Facial Toner wipes away dirt and oil, tightens pores, and leaves your skin feeling clean and refreshed.

Holiday Spice Body Bar-From BBS site- Be reminded of the charming joys of the holidays with the sweet smells of Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Orange, Ginger, and Clove Bud essential oils.

I also used one of their regular soaps-Holiday Spice Soap. It smells okay--kind of a mixed between Pumpkin Spice and Cinnamon, but it doesn't lather too well, and it scratches my skin really bad! It's actually left red marks on my skin a couple of times! Once again, I would suggest going to the website and trying out their products, since you get 5 samples for free, but I wouldn't pay for the bigger amounts until you tried them!
Intensive Under Eye Treatment-From BBS site-Brighten your best facial feature with precious natural minerals. Designed to reduce puffiness, wrinkles, and skin discoloration, this intense treatment penetrates deep for short term results. With an intricate blend of ingredient such as Soy & Rice Peptides, Watermelon Extract, Green Tea Extract, Vitamin C and E, this intensive treatment will effectively fight all signs of aging.

Another product I used from the, was the Intensive Under Eye Treatment. I honestly can't say too much about this product, because I had to stop using it after about 2 nights. It made my eyes water really bad and burn, so I stopped use. It did make my under eye feel smoother in the morning, but I thought that I shouldn't keep using the product with my eyes reacting the way they did. (All pictures and descriptions from www.bestbathstore.com)

3. Bee Royal Products-So a few weeks ago, Bee Royal had a sale going on, and MakeupByTiffanyD is always talking about their mascara, so I thought I would try some of their products. Overall I was happy with my choices.

Bee-LUSHcious Lashes Mascara-

For dramatic Bee LUSHcious lashes , our new "LUSH" formula has arrived. packed with protein to strengthen lashes and separate for beautiful eyes that add drama and sex appeal.

Lavish lashes. The hollow-fiber brush lifts and separates. Protein-rich formula builds in strength and flexibility. Nine botanicals, plus Vitamins A, E, and C condition and nourish.

Comparable to Definicils by LancĂ´me or Dior Show (from beeroyalproducts.com)
So this is the mascara that Tiffany really likes, and I have to admit it's okay. It lengthens really well, but I didn't think that it added much volume. It's a mascara I reach for when I have more of a neutral eye and don't want my lashes too dramatic.

HD Mascara-

The fullest, non-clumping, defined lashes have arrived at Bee-Luscious. This product was specially formulated to deliver the glamour of Hollywood straight to your home.

Lashes enter the digital age! This mascara will bring every lash into sharp, high-definition, focus. This lash-loving formula and innovative brush are uniquely engineered to lengthen and define.

Comparable to Sculpte Cils by Chanel (from beeroyalproducts.com)

So this mascara I bought just because they were having a sale, and I'm addicted to mascara. I thought it sounded great so I though...why not? I have to admit, it's pretty good. the wand takes some getting used to because it's so thin, and you do have to take your time since it can get clumpy if you're not careful. BUT<>

Frosted Lipstick-Fragile Pink-

Bee Luscious is proud to announce yet another incredible product. "Lead Free" FDA approved pigments and beautiful frosted colors. Lustrous, high-frost lipstick. Long-wearing. Contains vitamins and moisture nourishment to keep lips conditioned.

So this was yet another product that Tiffany talked about, haha. I've been trying to get into wearing more lipstick, and I've always been drawn to more neutral or toned down shades, and this one is perfect! I love the slight pink color, and it goes great with Baby Sparks Dazzleglass or Sugarrimmed. I'm so glad I bought this color! The formula is really great too. It's not drying at all, and it lasts for awhile too. I'm not going to say all day, but it definitely lasted a couple hours!

4. LUSH Products-So, it's officially...I've jumped on the LUSH bandwagon, and let me tell you if you haven't yet you're missing out!! This place it great, and I plan on making more purchases on Thursday.

Rockstar soap-
Sweet bubblegum soda pop soap strikes just the right chord

This best-selling, creamy soap delight may smell as sweet as sugar, but it's still just a little bit naughty; you know how rock stars are. So lather up, smile for the camera, then party all night long. Warning: This vanilla-berry handmade wonder has been known to increase singing in the shower so be careful who you give it to! (from lush.com)
So I know I've said it before but this soap is AMAZING!!! I absolutely love it and am getting a big chunk of this on Thursday if I get nothing else, haha. Definitely go immediately to your local LUSH counter and get some!!! =)

Massage Bars-

Soft Coeur
Sexy sweet seduction for the skin with milk chocolate and honey
Prepare to get messy with this deliciously romantic concoction of honey, cocoa and natural melty butters, designed for warm, sensual, full-body massages. Be careful not to melt it all at once as you might want to prolong your experience for as long as possible. Make your honeymoon last forever with our best-selling, sweet Soft Coeur. (from lush.com)

Heavanilli
Sensual vanilla heaven
When Heavenilly was presented to us in creative team meeting, we immediately put it to the test, sniffed it with enthusiasm and longing, rubbed it all over our arms. Then we brought it home with us and smoothed it all over our lovers' bodies to see what happens. Heavanilly's melty butters smell of sensual jasmine, vanilla, tonka and cinder toffee – guess what happened next (wink wink). (from lush.com)

So these are the only product from LUSH that I'm not too crazy about. I got them because they are suppose to really make your skin feel nice and smooth, but I think they just make me feel greasy. I don't think I'll be getting any more of these, but I'm glad I tried them.

Bubble Bar-

Flosty Gritter Bubble Bar

Glittery vanilla and lavender prepare you for a night on the town
Flosty Gritter is a very sparkly "girls' night out" sort of bubble bar. Mix lavender essential oil with vanilla absolute and you get a surprisingly sexy fragrance. We put a load of it in Flosty Gritter to set you up for an evening out. The name? Noriko Miura, our beloved Japanese product developer, borrowed a pot filled with frosty glitter and labeled it Flosty Gritter. We couldn't resist. (from lush.com)

So I wasn't too into this product when I got it, but I thought it was pretty, so I decided at last minute to get it, too. I'm so glad I did!!! I used some of this product the other night and it was wonderful!! It made my bath smell so good, and the bubbles felt so relaxing. I only used about a fourth of it and the bubbles lasted about 30 minutes. It's such a nice relaxing extra when you've had a tough week/day. I will definitely be trying out some other scents and getting another one of these! =)

LUSH has become my new obsession, haha. I plan on trying out all of their bath products. Next on my list is to try a bath melt and bath bomb =) Go now and try it! For you people who know me go to Fayette Mall and try some NOW!! (This is you Courtney and Vanya, haha...And you, too, Amber if you read this!) [All pictures and descriptions from www.lush.com]
I've recently got some Avon products I can review for you guys, too! =)
So I guess that's all for now! Hope you all are having a good week so far (Yes, I know it's only Monday). I'll hopefully have another blog up later this week!

Reviews and a tip...

So here are my final reviews of some products. This isn't everything I need to review, but it's most of them.

1. Bourjois Liquid Eyeshadow in Molecule d'or-This is a really good eye shadow! I saw MakeupGeek use this e/s in one of her looks, so I had to try it. This product is sold at Ulta for sure, and it is kind of pricey so be warned. However, I love the creaminess of it and I think the color is gorgeous. I am definitely going to check out some other colors.

2. MAC's Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Powder-I'm pretty sure I've talked about this one before, but I can't say enough...this product is wonderful! It just finished out your skin and makes it just look smoother and well, finished. I'm not sure if this product is permanent, but everyone should go check it out at their local MAC counter.

3. Clinique Dramatically Different Lotion-So I couldn't make up my mind on this until the other day when my chin was really dry. I put this lotion on my face, and honestly it did nothing. It's kind of a more runny lotion so be warned, and it might work for some people. However, I have really dry skin right now, so I'm going to have to still to my Dove Moisturizer.

4. Benefit Bad Gal Lash-Horrible!! I know I've talked about this one, and believe me, definitely PASS on this crappy mascara!

5. CHI 44 Iron Guard-This is such a good heat protectant! It smells sooo good and it just helps to smooth my hair right before I straighten it. I even curled my hair the other day with my straightener and use this stuff, and it looked to pretty and smooth.

6. Best Bath Store Products-As mentioned in several other blogs...I love this store. But, I will have to say that one of their products didn't really keep working for me and I had to go back to what I was using before.

a.) Acne Bar-This is wonderful! I even bought the full size of it. I use
this bar after I wash my face with another cleanser to get all my makeup off. It really helps to smooth my skin and make it feel even cleaner. I would definitely recommend this!
(Pictured in soap dish from Walmart that is like 97 cents)

b.) Acne Gel-This is the product that I will not be getting anymore. I
got a couple breakouts and used this product, and it didn't seem to have an effect, so, I went back to me Clean and Clear and the breakouts cleared up completely in 2 days!

c.) Facial Scrub-Love this stuff, too! I use this about once a week and
it really just makes my skin feel wonderful and smooth.

d.) Pore Refining Toner-This product is good, but I don't think I'm
going to purchase the full size in it. I don't know, it seemed to work really good for awhile and now I can't really tell the difference. Maybe if I go back to using my old toner I'll see how good this one is, but as of right now I'll use my samples and that's it.

e.) Intense Under Eye Treatment-I got this sample because I do have slight dark circles as well as under my eyes was really dry. I used this for a few nights and really liked how it felt under my eyes, however, it made my eyes really water so I think that there might be something in it that I'm allergic to. My recommendation on this product would be to try a sample and make sure you don't have the same reaction.

So I think that's all the reviews I have right now. I do have a couple more reviews on some products I got from the Best Bath store, but I want to use them more before I review. I really wanted to tell everyone now about Urban Decay's Primer Potion (UDPP)...

I've always really liked UDPP, but like everyone else I hate the packaging. I've used it for a couple months, and I've really been having trouble getting any out. Like most people I was getting ready to toss it. However, a few weeks ago I saw on YouTube how to get the most from you UDPP and I watched as someone cut the bottle in order to dip all the product out. I really thought this looked kind of difficult and not worth it. But, I really liked this product, and I had some time today, so I cut the bottle. Sure enough there was TONS left!! I just wanted to tell you guys that it's an easy process, just cut the bottle at the top and bottle, and you would not believe all that comes out. As I've said I've used mine for awhile, and I still had a lot left! (Pictured in one of the containers at Walmart-2/97cents)

For you people thinking you'll just buy Too Faced Shadow Insurance (TFSI) let me tell you that UDPP is so much better! I hate TFSI and wish I had never purchased it. It may work well on oily lids, but it did nothing for me.

Well, I think that's it for now. Can't wait to go to TN, hopefully I'll have an awesome haul when I get back! =)

Some Pictures...

I've been thinking I've needed to put up some pictures of things I've been talking about, so I took a couple tonight. More to come =)

So here are the drawers from Walmart I was talking about. They come in 3 or 5 drawers and range from $4-$7. I even stack them on top of each other so I can store more without taking up more counter space. Since I don't depot my MAC e/s, I have them put into drawers based on the color group. I love these things, haha!

Here are a couple pictures of the samples I got from the Best Bath Store, too. The jars are about as big as a quarter, and are completely full (except for the Intensive Eye Cream, so be warned!)!

This is a picture of the empty jars you can get at Walmart 2 for 97 cents. They are great to put anything in and they are slightly bigger in diameter than a quarter. They come in pink, yellow, and purple (as shown).

This is a picture of some more storage containers I got at Walmart. They have these long ones as well as ones that are bigger in width all 3 for $1. They work great in your drawers to keep things organized.

Above is my favorite brush I've gotten from Coastal Scents. It's short, but still slightly pointed so it's perfect for my crease! I use it all the time. I believe it is the one they say is comparable to MAC's 226. I don't own that brush yet so I can't say if it does, but it is a great brush for those of us on a budget!

These are pictures of paint pot samples I've got from All Beauty. As you can tell the samples are about the size or a quarter, and have a lot in them (But they are NOT completely full)! I've used this one like about three times and there is still a lot in there!! I apply it with a brush and just make sure there is a nice even, thin coat all over my lid. I think having these samples are a great way to see which ones you want to own as well as not wasting a lot of money on things you might only use every once in a while.
Well, that's all my pictures for now. I hope this was somewhat helpful...More to come of course! Including more reviews and hopefully my haul from CCO this weekend!!
Later Gators!

Best Bath Store...Best thing EVER!!!

Okay, so I just got done using the Best Bath Store's Face Scrub, and it is amazing! My skin feels so smooth and wonderful. I swear, I think I might have finally found my night time routine with the Best Bath Store line. The scrub you just use every once in awhile, but I swear, my skin is clearing up really well, and it's not drying out at all!!! If I haven't said it enough, everyone should check out this place, and AT LEAST get 5 free samples. I think I'm going to have to try some more things soon. Also, in case I haven't said it before...the samples are like really good sized. I've used these products every night since I've got them, and I've still got plenty left over. GO TRY THEM!!! =)

On a not so good note...Benefit Bad Gal Lash. It's awful! You might as well not even waste time putting mascara on, it does absolutely nothing but make my lashes darker, haha. If you were going to buy this mascara, STOP, and save up for like MUFE Smokey Lash or try Bee Royal or ANYTHING else, haha. I will say that if you don't want to spend the money for Smokey Lash there are really good mascaras at drug stores/Walmart. For example, I really like Rimmel, the pink one, I'm not sure what the name is and their new one in the purple tube is okay too but you have to put on several coats to get good volume. My favorite cheap kind is Max Factor's 2000 Calories. I don't care much for the Extreme one, just the original, and it's really good, best mascara I had used before Smokey Lash actually. But whatever you do, don't get Bad Gal Lash!! I've had 2 samples of this stuff, and I've thrown both away!!!

Also, I've finally made up my mind on the Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Powder by Mac...it's great! I realized this yesterday when after I put it on, it just seemed to make my skin glow and look so healthy. It may be the good skin routine I have going, too, but I love this powder stuff, too. It just seems to mold into your skin and even everything and just put a nice finishing touch on your face. I've used Mineral Veil before, and I thought it was good, but this stuff is wonderful!

So, as a re-cap...Pass on Benefit's Bad Gal Lash, but sooo try Best Bath Store!! And also, if you're on the hunt for a good finishing powder then try MAC's Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Powder.

On a side note...I just placed an order with Bee Royal for 2 mascaras and a lipstick, so those will be added to the review list as soon as I get them. =)

A Ramble

So I realized today that I have a makeup addiction, haha. I was really trying to not buy makeup right now because 1) I'm going to a CCO (Cosmetic Company Outlet) in two weeks and I wanted to save money in case I found a bunch of awesome stuff 2) I don't really need anything!!! and 3) I wanted to save money and room for a couple of the MAC collections coming up since I already have a couple things picked out for them (I know, I'm a dweeb).

However...I still just ordered ANOTHER blush from Sephora. And why you might ask? Because Tiffany aka MakeupByTiffanyD just used it in a tutorial and said it was pretty. I know, I'm really pathetic. I did still have that 15% off coupon though...does that make it better? I know, not really. I don't know, I've recently been into using blushes, I think they help conceal my bright cheeks with a pretty peachy or tanish color. =)

I also wanted to add that I am still using the Best Bath Store products, and I really am liking them! I think I'm going to definitely have to get more of the toner, I think that is what is making my skin feel so good. I'll of course keep using them and try to keep updating on my thoughts, but as of right now, I really like them.

One other tip I wanted to share is the awesome plastic drawer thingys that Walmart sells! I have like 7 of the smallest ones in my bathroom holding all my makeup and like 2 of the big ones in my room helping to organize my stuff. These things are great to help organize anything, and they are really affordable too!!

Well, I guess that's it for today. I had just used the face stuff and wanted to share that I think they are really good products! Hope you all are having a great day!

Another Haul...

Okay, so today in the mail I received a few more things. I had placed an order with Coastal Scents and Best Bath Store, so I wanted to share what I had purchased.

First, from Coastal Scents (CS). CS was having a sale on their gel liners: buy 3 get one free, so I HAD to order some since I think they are such good bases! I also ordered 2 brushes, since I love their brushes so much and they're so cheap!

1. Shade and Sahdow Brush-This is one of their new brushes that they are only going to have for a short time. To be honest, it's really small, but I think it still might be good to use to pack on color on the lid or even use as a highlight, I'll have to use it though to really know if it's good.

2. Sable Contour Brush-I was really excited to get this one, because I thought I could use it my crease. However, it's kinda short to do that, but I'll still try it out. They were out of the brush I really wanted for the crease, but oh well, it's nice to try new things.

3. Deep Plum Gel liner-This is a gorgeous deep purple color. Like I said, I really like to use these gel liners as a base, but in this case it might look good as a liner, too!

4. Sexy Pink Gel liner-To be honest, I don't really know why I chose this one, but I thought I MIGHT wear a pink look, so I might need it, haha.

5. Silk White Gel liner-I know some people might think I'm crazy for getting a white one, BUT it's nice to have a white base to help brighten your eye lid especially for brighter colors in the summer and spring. I have a NYX jumbo pencil in milk, but I thought I might like using the gel liner better.

6. Truffle Gel Liner-This a nice brown liner. Like the deep plum, I thought this would be nice to use as a base or liner, and I didn't have a good brown liner as of yet.

The order I placed with Best Bath Store was for all samples. I got to pick out 5 samples for free and only had to pay the shipping which was $7. I know that might seem like a lot, but these samples are actually really good sized!! They also included a 15% off coupon on my next order from them.

So, I had heard about this place through AllthatGlitters21, and when she said you could get free samples I knew I had to try it. Here are the samples I got:

1. Acne Treatment Gel-I used this tonight for the first time, so of course I can't give a good review on it just yet, but I will say it does stink. HOWEVER, if it works, I'll look past the smell =). I have a few breakouts right now, since it is almost "that time", so we'll see if it helps clear it up at all.

2. Dead Sea Foot Scrub-I am always looking for really good foot products that will make my feet smooth and pretty, especially since it's flip flop season. I'll have to use it maybe this upcoming week and report back on it if does anything.

3. Pore Refining Facial Toner-Once again, this product kind of stinks-think old man cologne, haha. However, like with the gel, if it works and makes my skin look good, I can overlook the smell.

4. Dead Sea Facial Scrub-Elle (Allthatglitters21) had said something about this one, so I thought I wouldtry it. I'll try to use it this week, too. Elle said the smell wasn't too bad on this one, so I'll have to see.

5. Acne Facial Bar-This one doesn't stink as bad as the toner, but it does have an odd smell. Hopefully it'll work though. =)

So there is all of what I got in the mail today. I'll try to keep up on the reviews for my new products and we'll see how good everything is =). Now it's off to work on school stuff...yeah.

Later =)
